Done. Tick. Cross one off. Big smiles!

By writing this, I'm completing one of my 2012 New Year's resolutions - and it's not even midnight yet! I must admit...I'm feeling quite pleased with myself.
The goal in question is in fact 'Resolution Number 3' on this year’s list and simply states:
Write your very first blog post.
Erm…this would seem pretty impressive had the same resolution not appeared on every New Year's Resolution list since 2009 - perhaps not such a remarkable feat after all then. :)
That aside, apart from the ever-recurring promises to ‘be more organised’ and ‘write more letters to friends’ there are always a few unique resolutions added every year, each with their successes and downfalls, namely the baking resolution of 2008 that led to a rather unfortunate incident with a batch of gingerbread men.
However, considering I have stuck to the majority of my 2010 and 2011 resolves, (successful or not) I’m feeling a little pumped at the thought I might actually achieve what I’ve set out to do here with my 2012 list.
Basically, I've started a blog (stating the obvious here I suppose) and it's called A Little London Wedding. It's not something totally 'out-of-the-blue' but more of a little project I've had to put on hold for a couple of years.
So what's this little blog all about then?
Well...my blog hopes to be:
- the 'go-to' resource for finding all things London wedding related
- a personal directory of all the best wedding venues in London
- a little place to ask wedding questions and get answers
- the place to find photos of weddings in and around London
- a little haven of DIY, with lots of wedding related freebies and downloads
- a resource to make wedding planning that little bit easier
- a place for me to be a little more creative in my life
Perhaps in time it will grow to be something totally different, but for now this is what I hope it will be.
In a nutshell - I love to write lists, I love to plan, I love to share ideas and most importantly I love to help people find things for their weddings. I truly hope that in the coming weeks/months/year, I can help you and a few other brides during their planning process - even if it's just in a small way. Just ask and I'll do my best to help.
So, here it goes. My very first blog post. Wish me luck. And let’s hope that next year's 'Resolution Number 3' isn't:
Write your second blog post. ;)
Enjoy your New Year celebrations and all that 2012 promises to bring.
